I told in the Legion's video, You can change anything you want from the processor, graphic card to display, etc Even the storage option can be changed. So you can get the same laptop with these specs For 90,000 and if you add something more you will get it for 3.5 Lakh in Pakistan. Last, With this you also get an option for QUAD-HD with 3060.

Build Design:

The laptop is in a matte finish, this is the grey colour in this we also get white colour. The white colour is really beautiful and looks like Legion. At the corner there is a branding of Lenovo, this is the look you get in front of the laptop, And from below there are these vents. The top lid and keyboard flex are negligible, and the built quality is appreciable. the interior is of plastic, definitely, the build quality is solid. The lid opens up till this, and there is a lot of wobble in the screen. But it's expected because of the price. here we get a full-sized keyboard.

Keyboard Trackpad:

The feel of the keyboard is perfect, Looks like Legion and somewhat also feels like it is a little bit as well This is 4 zone RGB keyboard, and the effects can be changed by the fn+space key. the keyboard lighting can be turned off as well The keyboard light is good and I liked the trackpad, it's a full-sized trackpad, fully clickable and clicks are really smooth. supports multiple gestures.

Ports:

On the left side, we get USB 3.2 GEN 1 Type A and a headphone/mic jack combo, On the right side we get another USB 3.2 GEN 1 Type A. On the back side we get an HDMI port, RJ45 LAN port, USB-C 3.2 GEN 1 port, Which is Thunderbolt 4 port and last we get a power input port. Its display output is from IGPU if you take the output from HDMI. then you will get by EGPU.

Display Output MUX Switch:

The display output from Type-C is from IGPU. The Type-C also supports power delivery. there is no MUX switch in this laptop. But you get a GPU Working Mode but here we get a hybrid mode, hybrid IGPU mode and hybrid auto mode. I have tried with auto mode, but the display output remains on IGPU and doesn't shift to EGPU. so these modes are only for performance, But it doesn't have an actual MUX switch.

Display:

The display is anti-glare and it's a 15.6" FHD IPS, with 300 nits brightness,165Hz refresh rate, and 100% SRGB. There is also a quad-HD option with 3060. You can also take a 45% NTSC display if you don't need colour accuracy, you just want to do normal gaming. Don't want to do editing, or designing, then you can save money on it. If you don't need RGB in the keyboard then also you can save around 1000-1200. The display is really great, brightness is bright enough. Viewing angles are also great because of the IPS panel. And if you need to do a colour accuracy task then this is a really good display, overall it is a good display.

Speaker, Webcam:

This is the webcam test, this is the quality you get it's a 720p camera with basic 30FPS, I got bored of saying like subscribe again and again Speakers are fine, 2 down-firing speakers each of 2 Watt. It has a decent sound neither too loud nor too low.

Battery:

You get a 60Wh battery, so don't hope for a good battery backup. I did basic usage with the keyboard backlight off I did multi-tasking and software installation I got a 1.5-2 hour backup in basic usage.

Performance Benchmarks:

Talking about the performance, These are the scores of CINEBENCH R23, and then there are the Geekbench 5 scores. after that PCMARK10 scores. 3DMARK scores and at last CROSSMARK scores can see. so with i7 12th gen with 3050Ti gives somewhat these scores. By now you too would have mugged up these scores, as they are the same as always. Many people ask that nowadays I am not doing streaming tests. I want to tell powerful CPUs of 12th GEN if it is i5 or i7 is really capable of streaming easily there is no need to show even with 3050 and 3050Ti. You can do 4k video editing, if you want to do graphic designing then take 3060Ti, Because 16GB RAM productivity and day-to-day tasks are good.

Gaming:

Now let's talk about gaming performance, and then we will get to a conclusion to answer your basic questions.
Here first game is Valorant, testing at 1080p on high settings because it has a 1080P display According to i7 12th GEN we are getting 200+ FPS expectable. The room temperature is 23 degrees because we were testing at night, According to that the temperature of the laptop is a little higher. The temperature is around 88-90, Sometimes above 90 as well And CPU wattage is also high around 60-70 watts. so if we do under-voting then definitely the temperatures would get down and it will also not affect gaming. Rest, all stats you can see on your screen.

The second game is GTA 5 on very high and high preset and we are getting 100+ FPS The reason for this good performance is 16GB RAM, as you can see the RAM consumption. Here you can see the temperature is 75-80 because here our wattage and clock speed are low. But there is no problem in performance, this is the benefit of the 12th generation that it manages temperature. I have noticed a thing that GPU consumption is stuck at 75-70 and wattage is also not much. But the gaming FPS was great so I can't understand, how is it happening. Performance is great,

Then we tested Forza Horizon 5 on a high preset because we have a 4GB VRAM graphic card according to this we get 80+ FPS and the CPU temperature is really good because Clock speed and wattage are low. and here our GPU is being used 99% and wattage is 70+. So the performance is fabulous here.

We tested Far Cry 6 at high settings, fidelity FX was on And FSR mode was balanced. according to these settings, we got 80-90+ FPS with some drops. Because of the unstable benchmarking of Far Cry. here our temperature was a little high. Because this is a CPU-demanding game. so, from this, you can get an idea that thermals ain't like Legion. Because at 23 degrees room temperature, The temperatures would be 90+ Next game we tested is Spider-Man here we kept DLSS on balanced and the graphics setting is on high. And we are getting around 80-90 FPS, and the CPU temperature is high as you can see. But if clock speed and wattage are low then it automatically gets reduced here I noticed my GPU consumption is 70-80%, and wattage also around 70 then the performance is great.

Then we tested Red Dead Redemption 2 at 1080P, preset is 50%, a mixture of ultra, medium and high. DLSS is balanced. this is a GPU-intensive game, 70W of our GPU is being consumed. In RDR 2 the temperature is never high because it never put a load on the CPU, it puts a load on GPU. So, the temperature here is low and the performance, is really fantastic, Then we tested the war zone on 100 Fields of view, and the preset is a mixture of high and low which is default according to 3050Ti. DLSS is balanced, and here we are getting around 100 FPS which is really good and is a big thing. Here you can see clock speed and wattage is low, and so is our temperature. Here our FPS is constant at 100+ Here you can see our GPU consumption is sometimes 90+ and sometimes below 90. I don't know about this, it is possible that it can be fixed in a BIOS update. Overall in gaming, there is no problem with the laptop. so this was the review for Ideapad Gaming 3.

Conclusion:

There are 2-4 questions, like TUF F15 OR TUF F17 with i7 12700H with 3050 Ti as compared to Ideapad gaming 3. I would like to say both are of 3.5 LAKH, but in Ideapad, you get a better display but in that, you get a 45% NTSC display In Ideapad, You don't get a MUX switch, TUF F-15 you have a MUX switch, so what matters you more you can make a choice according to it. If display matters more then go for Ideapad, if you are a gamer then you can go for that option. And yes the 3050Ti in the TUF series is 95 Watt and in Ideapad, it is of 85 Watt.

It is possible that in a BIOS update, it might also get 90-95 watts because in some brands GPU wattage increases. The previous year also in Dell and Omen this thing happened. Second ideapad 5800H 3050Ti vs ideapad i7 12th gen 3050 Ti. Here I would say obviously i7 12th gen is better. but it's also expensive the IdeaPad 5800H costs 85,000 and 12 gen variant is around 90000-95000. If you take a single zone keyboard, 512GB SSD, and 45% NTSC Display so it will get you at almost the same rate as 5800H It will get up to 90,000 if it is kept basic, then I would say definitely this one is better because of i7 12th gen.

A lot of people asked for a comparison to Legion 5i pro or 5 pro, so there is no comparison. if there is, then why would the same brand make different series for it. Legion is premium series and better definitely, there is no doubt. And in the comparison to MSI sword. I would like to say Ideapad Gaming 3i is better because of the so many customisation options it has a better GPU than MSI SWORD, and overall value for money is this laptop according to me. I will try to review the MSI SWORD 15, after that I guess I can tell more accurately Because without testing we can't say anything. So this was the review of Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3.
